Green technology plays a crucial role in enhancing sustainability in organic chemistry by promoting practices and innovations that minimize environmental impact, conserve resources, and improve efficiency. Green chemistry focuses on designing chemical processes that reduce or eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances. These methods often require less energy and lead to faster reaction times compared to conventional heating methods. Herein, we report, sunlight-mediated green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) which offers an eco-friendly, cost-effective, and sustainable approach for nanoparticle production. This method leverages natural sunlight as a renewable energy source to drive the reduction of silver ions to metallic silver, with plant-based extracts or other biomolecules serving as reducing and stabilizing agents. The process eliminates the need for hazardous chemicals, aligning with green chemistry principles and reducing environmental impact. Characterization of the synthesized Ag NPs were done by using UV-Vis spectroscopy, FTIR and TEM. The TEM result  reveals the Ag NPs  uniform size, morphology, and crystalline structure, with typical sizes ranging from 10 to 30 nm. These nanoparticles exhibit remarkable stability and possess potent antimicrobial, antioxidant, and catalytic properties, making them suitable for applications in medicine, environmental remediation, and materials science. This study underscores the potential of sunlight-mediated synthesis as a scalable and environmentally benign technique for nanomaterial fabrication. The synthesis mechainsm of these Ag NPs and thier wide range of application through green technology ensures that organic chemistry contributes positively to sustainability, balancing economic development with environmental stewardship and also for well-being of mankind.
