Klaus Regenauer-Lieb

Professor Klaus Regenauer-Lieb is a distinguished geophysicist and applied mathematician with over 30 years' experience in Geothermal Energy and Reservoir Engineering. Holding PhD and Habilitation degrees, he has pioneered multi-scale, multiphysics modeling of porous media, crucially leveraging advanced computational methods to link Earth's heat, chemistry, and mechanics. As Professor of the Strategic Initiative "Energy in Transition" at Curtin University, he champions the integration of renewable energy into the current energy mix, often relying on advanced computational methods and data assimilation. His extensive career includes professorial roles globally, leadership in major research projects, and significant industry engagement, including the discovery of high lithium content in geothermal waters.
