My laboratory focuses on the concept of controlling molecular conformation through stereoselective fluorination.[1] In recent years, we have applied this concept to enhance the properties of a variety of bioactive molecules, including the antimalarial agent 1, the antidepressant drugs 2–3, and the schizophrenia medication 4. This presentation will describe a selection of our recent (and still mostly unpublished) efforts in this field.
