Kamil Hanek
I am w 4th year PhD Candidate in the Doctoral Schoold of Exact Sciences at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. My research are connected with catalysis based on bulky N-heterocyclic carbenes that due to their great steric hindrance are responsible for achieving great selectivity of different reactions. I am also interested in research concerning nanomaterial (silsesquioxanes) functionalization and mechanochemical solid-state reactions that eliminates the use of toxic solvents. During my doctoral studies I have completed two international internships at Liege University in Belgium and at Ljubljana University in Slovenia. I am the author of 10 scientific publications and the presenter at 20 national and international conferences, including the ones in Japan, Singapore or Hawaii. Since 2025 I am the Principle Investigator in Polish National Science Centre Grant Preludium titled "Innovative organocatalytic strategies in functionalization of drugs, natural products and biological compounds.".
