Ho Ho
Hi, I'm Ho - a PhD candidate in biochemistry at School of Chemistry, the University of Melbourne. I have been conducting research on the molecular characterization of sulfo-lyase enzymes involved in the mineralization of organosulfonates in nature, integrating organic synthesis, enzyme assays, and spectroscopic techniques. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a Master's degree in Chemistry. Prior to commencing my PhD, I worked as an R&D Formulation Scientist, where I formulated pharmaceutical products for animal health applications.
As I approach the completion of my PhD, I am seeking to transition into the pharmaceutical industry. I am particularly interested in pursuing a career as a Medicinal Chemist, where I can contribute to the discovery and optimization of novel drug candidates through the application of synthetic chemistry, biochemical assays, and structure–activity relationship studies, and evaluating their pharmacological properties.
