Anju Singh
Anju Singh is a second-year PhD student at the University of Sydney under the supervision of Kaye Minkyung Kang in the School of Chemistry. Her research focuses on scanning electrochemical cell microscopy (SECCM) and electrocatalysis. She is particularly interested in understanding surface heterogeneity and structure–activity relationships in electrochemical reactions using SECCM alongside complementary microscopy techniques such as atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). Her work also involves the design of functional materials for electrochemical applications. Currently, she is investigating the electrochemical activity of polydopamine (PDA)-modified polycrystalline gold electrode surfaces and their influence on electron-transfer processes involving outer-sphere redox probes, such as ferricyanide, and inner-sphere systems, including glucose oxidation.
