Juliette King

Juliette is in the first year of her PhD candidacy at Murdoch University. After completing her Bachelors of Science in Chemistry at Curtin University, Juliette pursued a Masters of Forensic Science (Professional Practice and Research) at Murdoch University, where her research focused on screening common backyard plants for toxins. Her PhD research will centre around the phytochemistry of the Gastrolobium genus, a group of plants native to Western Australia that bioaccumulate a toxin fluoroacetate, with the aim to better understand the mechanism behind fluoroacetate accumulation, as well as investigate the broader metabolomic profiles of the genus.
