Lisa J Alcock
Lisa completed her PhD at Flinders University where she designed chemical probes for detecting cysteine oxidation states in cells. Lisa then took on two postdoctoral appointments, one at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee working on leukaemia targeting PROTACs, and the other at the University of Sydney exploring telomere targeting for cancer drug discovery where she was also a Tour de Cure ECR Fellow. Lisa joined the School of Molecular and Life Sciences at Curtin University in July 2025 to begin her independent career as a Lecturer in Chemistry where her research is focused on developing new therapeutics for challenging drug targets in cancer.
