Faizan Z Simnani
Faizan Simnani is a PhD researcher working under Australia-France Network of Doctoral Excellence, cotutelle program between INL-École Centrale de Lyon (France) and RMIT University, Melbourne (Australia), with secondment at the Ian Potter NanoBiotechnology Research Laboratory (NBRL). His research focuses on the design of hybrid nanozymes based on superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles integrated with noble metals and biomolecular functionalization to achieve synergistic catalytic activity. His work explores catalytic mechanisms of nanozymes for applications in antimicrobial therapy, colorimetric biosensing, and environmental remediation, with particular emphasis on surface chemistry, reactive oxygen species generation, and structure–activity relationships
