Regis Komperda
Regis Komperda is an Associate Professor in the Chemistry & Biochemistry Department at San Diego State University (SDSU) in California, USA. She holds a BS in Chemistry with a minor in secondary education and an MS in Teaching of Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA). After a few years teaching at the secondary and tertiary level, she returned to school and earned a PhD in Chemical Education working with Diane Bunce at The Catholic University of America. She held a postdoctoral scholar position with Jack Barbera at Portland State University before her current faculty role at SDSU. Her research focuses on quantitative techniques for analyzing student data with an emphasis on psychometrics and latent variable modeling. Current topics studied in the Komperda group include graduate teaching assistant professional development and the role of undergraduate research in supporting student success.
