Jinxing Gu
Dr Jinxing Gu obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering at Monash University in 2025. He is a researcher specializing in sustainable energy and materials, combining experimental and computational approaches to develop technologies for waste valorisation and clean energy. His experimental expertise includes bio-oil upgrading, plastic waste upcycling through catalytic pyrolysis, and fly ash waste valorisation, with a focus on catalyst development, reaction engineering, and product characterization. Complementing these experimental studies, he applies first-principles calculations and electronic structure analysis to understand catalytic mechanisms, reaction pathways, and structure–property relationships. His interdisciplinary research aims to bridge fundamental materials science with practical solutions for the circular economy and decarbonization.
