Gbemi F Abass
I am a PhD candidate in Computational Materials Science at UNSW Canberra (ADFA) and a Doctoral Researcher at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Carbon Science & Innovation (www.carboncentre.org.au). My research centres on 2D carbon-based materials, particularly graphitic carbon nitride, for clean-energy production.
Using density functional theory (DFT), quantum-mechanical modelling, and high-performance computing, I study photocatalysts, heterostructures, and liquid organic hydrogen carriers. My work links atomistic-level understanding with the development of efficient, stable, and scalable materials for sustainable energy technologies.
