Aya M. Soliman Yones
Aya Mamdouh Soliman Yones, is a PhD researcher in medicinal chemistry at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, and a member of Luke Hunter research group. Her research focuses on the design and synthesis of novel therapeutic agents, with a particular interest in developing PHD2 inhibitors as potential neuroprotective treatments for stroke. Her work combines synthetic medicinal chemistry, biological evaluation, and computational drug design approaches, including molecular docking and ADME prediction. Aya is also interested in drug discovery strategies that improve efficacy, safety, and drug-like properties of new therapeutic candidates.
