Alexandra Yeung
Associate Professor Alexandra Yeung is an award-winning chemistry educator and scholar whose work has transformed student learning and strengthened the national chemical education community. Her research interests include improving students’ understanding of chemistry through innovative teaching, particularly in a blended learning environment and through active learning activities, developing students’ reflection and metacognitive skills, and creating ways to foster student engagement and opportunities for students to engage with real-world problems.
A dedicated leader within the RACI, Alexandra has contributed for many years across committees, conferences, and accreditation panels. She has chaired the WA Women in Chemistry Group, served as Secretary and committee member of the Chemical Education Division, supervised state titration competitions, and currently leads the RACI Accreditation Committee. She strives to continue to shape chemistry education in Australia, inspiring colleagues and empowering the next generation of scientists.
