Peter Canfield

BSc (Hons) at the University of New South Wales 1993. Received several undergraduate academic awards in chemistry. Held positions in the Public Sector (Forensics) and Private Sector (including commercial R&D). In 2018, returned to Academia to commence a doctoral project at the University of Sydney. My 2022 PhD thesis "The Polytope Formalism: isomerism and associated unimolecular isomerisation", was awarded a Sydney University Thesis Prize. Since then, I have collaborated with chemist Prof Maxwell Crossley, and mathematicians Prof Stephan Tillmann and Prof Jonathan Spreer, on elaborating the Polytope Formalism - a single conceptual framework for accommodating and organising all chemical entities and phenomena.
