Ming Zhou

I am currently an ARC Industry Fellow and Lecturer at the School of Environment and Science. Prior to joining Griffith University, Ming worked as a water management consultant for three years within the Pearl River Water Resources Commission of the Chinese Ministry of Water Resources, where he participated in and led a World Bank-funded and a series of government-funded urban water resource management projects. My areas of expertise include i) field-based chemical, microbiological, and nanotechnological sensing techniques and systems for pollution assessment in water and soil, ii) advanced water treatment, and iii) resource recovery from wastewater. My works have been granted international patents and published in top-tier academic journals in the field of sensing technology, including ACS Sensors, Sensors and Actuator B: Chemical, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Pollution, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, etc. Over the past five years, as a Lead Chief Investigator, I have secured over AUD 1 million in research funding from various governmental, industrial, and commercial funding bodies, including the Australian Research Council and the Australian Department of Industry, Science, Energy, and Resources.
