Joshua A Powell
Dr Joshua A. Powell completed his BSc(Hons) in Chemistry at the University of Queensland in 2018 and his PhD in Chemistry at Texas A&M University in 2023. Following a 12-month stint in industry performing commercial research and development of porous materials, he returned to the University of Queensland as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Nanomaterials Centre, School of Chemical Engineering. His current research focuses on the design and application of thermally-transformed metal-organic frameworks and waste upcycling for metal-organic framework synthesis. In addition to his primary research directions, he has been an advocate in chemical safety and graduate student wellbeing.
